Jerry Damara Strengthens Political Alliances in Gombe South

By Auwal Ahmad Umar

A leading aspirant for the Gombe South Senatorial seat on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Jerry Joseph Damara, has intensified political consultations and alliance-building efforts across the senatorial district as momentum continues to build around his ambition.

Mr Damara, who recently emerged as a consensus aspirant for the position, has embarked on a series of strategic engagements with key stakeholders, party leaders, community influencers, and supporters across Gombe South.

As part of the consultations, the APC chieftain visited prominent traditional institutions in the zone, where he sought prayers and support for his senatorial ambition.

Speaking during the visits, Mr Damara said his aspiration was inspired by growing calls from stakeholders who believe the district deserves stronger representation and accelerated development.

He stated that unity, inclusive leadership, and sustained grassroots engagement would remain central to his political mission if elected into the National Assembly.

“I am committed to building stronger partnerships that will promote development, unity, and progress across Gombe South,” he said.

The aspirant also visited APC offices in Kaltungo and Billiri local government areas, where he pledged to construct and furnish a befitting party office in Kaltungo, describing the current structure as inadequate for the party’s growing activities in the area.

During the engagements, he donated cash support to youths, women’s groups, and party officials, while encouraging members to remain united and committed to the ideals of the APC.

At the APC State Secretariat in Gombe, Mr Damara was received by members of the party’s state executive committee led by the chairman, Mohammed Dantata Ndus.

He reaffirmed his loyalty to the ruling party and pledged to continue supporting its leadership and programmes in the state.

The senatorial aspirant also visited the residence of Jamilu Isiaka Gwamna, one of the APC governorship aspirants in Gombe State, where discussions focused on strengthening political cooperation and unity within the party.

Earlier, Mr. Damara organised a special prayer session at his residence, where clerics and supporters offered prayers for peace, stability, and political progress in the Tangale–Waja axis and Gombe State.

Among those who accompanied him during the consultations were the member representing the Billiri/Balanga Federal Constituency, Ali Isa J.C.; members of the Gombe State House of Assembly from Gombe South; former commissioners; and former local government chairpersons from the zone.
