Kaduna State Boosts Security: CDS Commissions Vehicles and Motorcycles

In a significant stride towards fortifying security measures, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, spearheaded the commissioning of 150 vehicles and 500 motorcycles generously donated by the Kaduna State government.

This  contained in a press statement signed by Tukur Gusau Brigadier General, Director of Defence Information, made available to newsmen in Abuja.

General Musa commended Governor Uba Sani for his unwavering support, emphasising the pivotal role these vehicles and motorcycles would play in enhancing operational readiness and bolstering the nation’s security apparatus.

The CDS underscored the imperative for unity and dedication among the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) and other security agencies in upholding national defence with honour and integrity.

In his address, Governor Uba Sani reiterated his administration’s commitment to prioritising the safety and security of Kaduna citizens.
Recognising the challenges faced by security personnel, especially in remote areas, Governor Sani emphasised the significance of a visible security presence in fostering community safety.

He lauded the contributions of General Musa and reaffirmed the state’s steadfast support for security forces, characterising the donation as a gesture of appreciation for their sacrifices.

Governor Sani announced the directive to name the conference hall of the state Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs in honour of the late Lieutenant Colonel AH Ali, a valiant Army officer who made the ultimate sacrifice while defending the nation in Delta State.

This gesture symbolises the state’s enduring gratitude towards fallen heroes and serves as a testament to their indelible contributions to national security.

The commissioning ceremony not only marks a significant milestone in enhancing security infrastructure but also exemplifies the spirit of collaboration between state and federal authorities in safeguarding Nigeria’s territorial integrity.

As the nation continues to confront evolving security challenges, such initiatives underscore the collective resolve to protect the lives and property of all citizens.
