Speaking through Hon. Muhammed Sani Otto, the Commissioner for Trade, Industry, and Investment, during the ongoing Nasarawa Trade Fair Exhibition, the Governor said the state’s rich deposit of solid minerals and investor-friendly environment presents a unique opportunity for long-term collaboration.

Otto lauded Dangote Group for its remarkable achievements, particularly in the Nasarawa Sugar Company Limited (NSCL), expressing optimism that similar successes could be replicated across other sectors within the state.

During the event’s Dangote Special Day, Chairman of the Nigeria Association of Small-Scale Industrialists (NASSI), Nasarawa Chapter, Nidan Sambo Manasseh, also commended Dangote Group for sponsoring the fair, describing it as a key driver for economic advancement. He urged the company to explore further ventures that align with the state’s development goals.

“The Nasarawa Trade Fair Exhibition is more than an event—it is a springboard for unlocking the state’s economic potential. This initiative aligns directly with Governor Sule’s vision for sustainable investment and growth,” Manasseh said.

Echoing this sentiment, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Investment, Hajiya Khadija Oshafu Nuhu, emphasized that Nasarawa remains strategically open for business. She encouraged Dangote Group to tap into the state’s diverse and untapped investment opportunities.

In a statement, Dangote Group’s Chief Branding and Communication Officer, Anthony Chiejina, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to Nasarawa, noting that the NSCL project will rank among Africa’s largest sugar investments once completed.

Fatima Wali Abdurrahman, Senior Special Adviser to the President of Dangote Group, highlighted the participation of several of the company’s Strategic Business Units (SBUs) at the fair, including Dangote Fertilizer Limited, Dangote Peugeot Automobiles Nigeria Limited, Dangote SinoTruck, Dangote Sugar Refinery, Dangote Salt (NASCON), and Dangote Cement Plc.

She noted, “We deeply value our partnership with Nasarawa State and are committed to exploring more avenues for impactful collaboration.”

The Nasarawa Trade Fair continues to serve as a dynamic platform for forging strategic alliances aimed at economic growth and industrial development.
