NIGCOMSAT Boss Joins Launch of FCC Digital Platform to Boost Transparency
The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of NIGCOMSAT Limited, Jane Egerton-Idehen, has joined other female chief executives and heads of agencies at the official launch of a newly developed website by the Federal Character Commission.
The event, held in April 2026, brought together members of the Forum of Female Chief Executives and Heads of Agencies to unveil the digital platform designed to strengthen transparency and improve public access to government services.
The newly launched website serves as a centralized digital governance platform aimed at promoting transparency, enhancing information dissemination, improving service delivery, and providing easier access to the Commission’s activities and resources.
In her welcome address, the Executive Chairman of the Commission, Hulayat Motunrayo Omidiran, reiterated the Commission’s commitment to its core mandate of ensuring fairness, equity, and balanced representation in the distribution of public opportunities across the federation.
She emphasized that the Commission would continue to adapt to the evolving demands of governance in the digital age, leveraging technology to improve efficiency and public engagement.
The participation of Mrs. Egerton-Idehen and other female leaders at the event underscored the growing role of women in driving innovation, accountability, and institutional reforms within Nigeria’s public sector.
