In a heartfelt tribute to Nigeria’s fallen heroes, citizens across the nation unite in gratitude for their unwavering commitment to duty and sacrifice. The loss of these brave individuals is felt deeply, yet their legacy serves as a beacon of inspiration for the nation’s future.

President Ahmad Bola Tinubu delivered a poignant message, expressing profound gratitude to the fallen heroes and emphasising the nation’s determination to continue the fight against threats to peace and security.

“We owe it to these fallen heroes to honor their memory by redoubling our efforts to create a safer and more prosperous nation for all,” stated the President.

Amidst the grief, there is a resolute call for unity and support for the armed forces. Communities are urged to come together in solidarity, pledging to work tirelessly towards a Nigeria free from violence and insecurity.

The President commended the ongoing dedication of the men and women in uniform, affirming their pivotal role in upholding national defense.

To those who perpetrate violence, a stern warning is issued: the resolve of the nation will not falter. Efforts to hunt down and bring perpetrators to justice are underway, with a firm commitment to restoring peace and security to every corner of Nigeria.

“As the nation bids farewell to these fallen heroes, there is a solemn pledge to carry their legacy forward. Their sacrifice will not be forgotten, and their families will find solace in the knowledge that their loved ones are forever cherished as heroes.

Also speaking the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen CG Musa “To our fallen heroes, we say thank you. Your unwavering commitment to duty, your sacrifices, and your love for our nation will forever be remembered.

The General emphasized the nation’s resolve to continue the fight against those who threaten peace and security, vowing to build a nation worthy of the soldiers’ sacrifice.

The ceremony was not just an occasion to mourn but also to reflect on the courage and selfless service of the fallen. “They were the vanguards of peace, the guardians of our freedom, and the sentinels of our security,” Gen Musa remarked, acknowledging the heavy hearts and tear-filled eyes of those present.

The Chief of Defence Staff also expressed gratitude to the men and women who continue to serve in the armed forces, recognizing their dedication to defending the nation.

He issued a stern warning to the perpetrators of violence, stating, “Our resolve will not waver. We will hunt you down, bring you to justice, and restore peace and security to every nook and cranny of our dear nation.”

Gen Musa called on the nation to honor the memory of the fallen by working towards a peaceful, prosperous, and secure Nigeria.

“May God bless our fallen heroes, their families, and our great nation, Nigeria,” he concluded, leaving a message of hope and resilience.

The nation stands in solidarity with the families of the fallen and remains committed to the vision of a Nigeria free from violence and insecurity, a fitting tribute to the heroes who have given their lives in service.

In his remark the Chief of Army Staff Lt-Gen Taoreed Labaja ( COAS) expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and dignitaries for honoring the fallen heroes and emphasised the solemn duty to speak out despite the somber occasion.

He condemned the heinous act that claimed the lives of the soldiers, highlighting the brutality of their deaths and the painstaking recovery efforts endured by the military.

However, amidst grief, the COAS assured unwavering support for the bereaved families and pledged relentless pursuit of justice.

He underscored the commitment of the Nigerian Army to fulfill its constitutional obligations and reiterated resolve in apprehending the perpetrators and recovering stolen belongings.

The COAS appealed for cooperation from all Nigerians, particularly those in the affected region, to aid in swift and successful operations. In closing, he expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support and solidarity, reaffirming the Nigerian Army’s determination to uphold the nation’s security.
