Brigadier General Gusau Receives Prestigious Military Spokesperson Award

Brigadier General Tukur Gusau, the Acting Director of Defence Information, has been honoured with the prestigious Outstanding Military Spokesperson Award at the National Spokespersons Awards 2024.

Organised by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) in collaboration with Image Merchants Promotions Limited (IMPR), the event took place at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.

The award ceremony, held as part of the National Spokespersons Summit from March 26 to 27, 2024, recognised individuals who have demonstrated exceptional eloquence, integrity, and effectiveness in their roles as spokespersons across various sectors including corporate communications, politics, media, and public affairs.

The National Spokespersons Summit aimed to reshape the nation’s reputation by changing existing narratives and repositioning communication strategies.

Brigadier General Gusau’s recognition underscores his outstanding contributions to the field of military communication, elevating the standard of corporate communication within the armed forces.

With over 300 guests in attendance, including distinguished personalities from academia and seasoned Public Relations practitioners, the event marked the fourth edition of the National Spokespersons Awards. It served as a platform for practitioners to network, exchange ideas, and foster collaborations aimed at enhancing communication practices nationwide.
