The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and Julius Berger Nigeria Plc (JBN) have begun discussions aimed at strengthening collaboration on capacity development and strategic initiatives to advance engineering practice and technological innovation in Nigeria.
The talks followed a high-level courtesy visit by the President of the NSE, Engr. Ali Alimasuya Rabiu, FNSE, F.ASCE, FAEng, MFR, to the Managing Director of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, Engr. Dr. Peer Lubasch, on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, in Abuja.
During the meeting, both organisations explored partnership opportunities focused on improving the professional capacity of engineers and preparing the sector for the future demands of technology-driven infrastructure development.
The discussions also highlighted Julius Berger’s commitment to modern construction techniques, innovation, and engineering excellence, with both parties expressing readiness to deepen institutional collaboration for the benefit of engineering professionals and the nation’s infrastructure sector.
Speaking during the engagement, the two organisations stressed the importance of stronger cooperation between professional bodies and industry leaders in driving sustainable infrastructure growth and enhancing technical competence among Nigerian engineers.
The meeting further underscored the growing role of innovation and strategic partnerships in positioning the engineering profession to meet emerging global standards and national development needs.
