The ancient city of Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, came alive with colour, elegance and cultural pride as thousands gathered for the 2026 Ojude Oba Festival, one of Nigeria’s most celebrated cultural events.

Held annually in honour of the Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, the festival was centred around the monarch’s palace and the adjoining Oba Adetona Pavilion, attracting visitors from across Ogun State, other parts of Nigeria and beyond.
