Troops of Operation CLEAN SWEEP IV have foiled an attempted terrorist attack on construction workers at Tsatsunbe Village in Southern Kebbi State, rescuing the workers and recovering three motorcycles abandoned by the fleeing attackers.
The troops responded swiftly to a distress tip-off on August 14, 2026, mobilising to the area and engaging the terrorists with superior firepower. The sustained response forced the attackers to retreat into the surrounding bushes.
During a subsequent search of the area, the troops recovered three motorcycles abandoned by the fleeing terrorists.
The construction workers, who had taken cover in nearby bushes when the attack began, were located and safely rescued. They were subsequently escorted back to their camp without further incident.
The successful operation underscores the commitment of Operation CLEAN SWEEP IV to protecting civilians, safeguarding critical infrastructure and denying terrorist and criminal elements freedom of action across Southern Kebbi State.
