Former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, has expressed deep sorrow over the deadly attack on residents of Angwan Rukuba community in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Pantami described the killing of innocent and defenceless citizens by gunmen as a senseless and reprehensible act that must be condemned by all. The attackers reportedly stormed the community and opened fire indiscriminately, leaving multiple casualties and injuries.
While commending the swift response of security agencies, including efforts led by the Plateau State Commissioner of Police and joint security teams, he stressed that more must be done to prevent a recurrence of such tragic incidents.
He called on relevant security and intelligence agencies to intensify efforts in safeguarding lives and property, noting that the protection of citizens remains a fundamental responsibility of government as enshrined in the 1999 Constitution.
Pantami also emphasised the urgent need for proactive intelligence gathering, strengthened community policing, and decisive action against perpetrators of violence. He urged authorities to ensure that those responsible for the attack are swiftly apprehended and brought to justice.
The former minister extended his condolences to families of the victims, describing the loss as heartbreaking and unacceptable. He also offered prayers for the injured and called for peace and stability across Plateau State and the nation at large.
