Police officer bags death sentence for killing lawyer in Lagos
Darambi Vandi, a police officer, was sentenced to death by hanging by Justice Ibironke Harrison of the Lagos High Court for fatally shooting a Lagos-based lawyer, Mrs Omobolanle Raheem, last Christmas.
Remember that on December 25, 2022, the defendant shot Raheem in the chest at Ajah Roundabout on the Lekki-Expressway in Lagos State.

Mr Moyosore Onigbanjo, the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, led the prosecution team, which called 11 witnesses, including eight police officers.
Two eyewitnesses and a pathologist are among the other prosecution witnesses.
