The Tony Elumelu Foundation has reaffirmed the importance of investing in African entrepreneurs, highlighting access to seed capital, mentorship and business support as essential to creating jobs and driving economic growth across the continent.
The Foundation noted that Africa’s development depends not only on recognising its potential but also on providing its people with the resources and opportunities needed to turn ideas into sustainable businesses.
For more than 15 years, the Foundation has supported African entrepreneurs through funding, mentorship and other business development opportunities aimed at helping them establish and grow their enterprises.
It stressed that investing in young African entrepreneurs goes beyond business creation, as it also generates employment, strengthens communities, supports families and promotes economic independence.
The Foundation further emphasised that Africa’s future depends on collective efforts to empower its people, expand opportunities and build sustainable economic prospects for generations to come.
