The suspects were reportedly apprehended by Ghanaian police while attempting to flee to neighbouring Togo after the incident.
Police alleged that the suspects were involved in the killing of 36-year-old Nkemujika Uzochukwu Eze following a dispute over proceeds from alleged internet fraud.
According to investigators, Eze was found dead in his bedroom with a head injury and a towel stuffed into his mouth.
During the investigation, police reportedly recovered a wooden pestle believed to have been used in the attack, along with several items alleged to have been stolen from the victim’s residence.
