Prof. Audi gave the commendation during an assessment visit to the newly initiated Obstacle Course Training Centre at the NSCDC FCT Command, as part of his 2026 Operational Tour aimed at evaluating operational readiness and infrastructure development across NSCDC formations nationwide.

Expressing satisfaction with the progress recorded under Dr. Odumosu’s leadership, the Commandant General said the visible transformation of the FCT Command reflects hard work, dedication, and a clear sense of purpose.

“What you have done here is very remarkable. You cannot give what you do not have. I am indeed proud of your achievements as the FCT Commandant, and you have represented the Corps appropriately,” Prof. Audi said.
“The FCT Command is the operational base of the National Headquarters, and what you have demonstrated within such a short period shows that you have much to offer the Corps.”

The NSCDC boss described the FCT Command as a hub of innovation, noting that its personnel are among the most dedicated officers in the Service, working deliberately to introduce initiatives that advance the Corps’ operational capacity.

“Even a blind person knows that the Civil Defence of yesterday is not the same as today,” he added.

During the tour, Prof. Audi urged officers and men of the Command to remain disciplined, professional, and committed to the rules and principles of the Corps. He cautioned against indolence and misconduct, stressing that personnel must place the interest of the Service above personal considerations and pursue initiatives that can be replicated across other Commands.

The Commandant General also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Honourable Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for approving the promotion of personnel who had remained stagnated for years, describing the development as a morale booster that has reinvigorated the Renewed Hope agenda within the Corps.

Looking ahead, Prof. Audi disclosed that the National Headquarters is developing a modern College of Arms Squad Service in Nasarawa State. He noted that the blueprint of the FCT Command’s obstacle course would be adopted for broader training purposes and assured the Command of continued support to ensure timely completion of the project.

The visit concluded with a tactical demonstration by trained personnel at the obstacle course, showcasing the FCT Command’s physical fitness, discipline, and operational readiness.
