IMCTC Secretary General Receives GCC Unified Military Command Chief, Strengthens Counterterrorism Cooperation
The Secretary General of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) received the Commander of the GCC Unified Military Command, Major General Abdulaziz Al-Balawi, alongside his accompanying delegation, at the IMCTC headquarters.

During the visit, Major General Al-Balawi was briefed on IMCTC’s core activities and ongoing efforts carried out through its strategic initiatives and specialised programmes designed to support member states in combating terrorism and violent extremism.
The briefing highlighted the Coalition’s integrated approach across key domains, including intellectual, media, military, and financial counterterrorism operations, as well as capacity-building programmes aimed at strengthening institutional resilience among member nations.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for both sides to explore avenues for enhanced cooperation and coordination, particularly in intelligence sharing, training, and joint initiatives to address evolving security threats in the region.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to deepening collaboration in support of collective security and stability, underscoring the importance of unified efforts in confronting terrorism and extremism across member states.
