The workshop brought together representatives of international non-governmental organisations and stakeholders to deepen understanding of Nigeria’s data protection and privacy framework. Participants examined key areas including lawful processing of personal data, protection of sensitive information, third-party risk management, cross-border data transfers, accountability documentation, and strategies for responding to data breaches.

State government representatives also took part in the programme, providing a platform for dialogue on secure and lawful data-sharing practices among institutions. The engagement aimed to strengthen collaboration and ensure compliance with established data protection standards across sectors.

The sessions featured interactive discussions and practical exercises designed to equip participants with relevant knowledge and technical skills.
