The women, who raised their concerns in a public appeal, said they have been denied regular communication and visits with their spouses since the officers were taken into custody over the alleged plot.

They called on the Federal Government to uphold the rule of law by allowing due process and ensuring that the accused officers are given the opportunity to defend themselves in an open court.

According to them, access to their husbands is necessary for both humanitarian reasons and to enable proper legal representation as the case progresses.

The wives further urged the authorities to ensure that the proceedings are conducted transparently, stressing that justice must not only be done but must also be seen to be done.

They appealed directly to President Tinubu to intervene and direct the relevant authorities to allow family access while guaranteeing that the accused officers receive a fair and impartial hearing.
