Leaders from Osogbo’s political groups of the late Alhaji Fatai Diekola and Alhaji Liadi Gbadamosi have come together on Monday for a congratulatory visit to Aare Ganiyu Ayobami Olaoluwa (Asejere), following his emergence as the Accord Party’s Senatorial Candidate for Osun Central.

The delegation, led by Alhaji Liadi Gbadamosi, also extended congratulations to the other primary winners who secured their tickets for the legislative races:Rep. Adewale Maruff Gangaria (Osogbo Federal Constituency)
Hon. Olaide Ajibola (Olorunda State Constituency). Hon. Bamidele Lawal (LBR)(Osogbo State Constituency)

Speaking on behalf of the groups at the Aare Asejere’s country home in Osogbo, Alhaji Gbadamosi described Aare Asejere as a “round peg in a round hole,” stating that his political pedigree and leadership experience set him apart from other contenders. Gbadamosi praised the development projects across the state under the current administration, affirming that the groups will mobilize grassroots support to deliver massive votes in the gubernatorial election on August 15, 2026.

In his remarks, Aare Asejere thanked the leaders and called for total cooperation among all stakeholders.

“Osogbo remains entirely indivisible,” Aare Asejere stated. “I am calling on every leader, elder, and stakeholder to unite firmly for the continuous development of Osogbo and the entire Osun Central Senatorial District.

Aare Asejere commended Governor Ademola Adeleke for the infrastructural work the state capital is currently witnessing. He urged the delegation to work hard to ensure the Governor’s victory at the polls this August, noting that a successful re-election is key to future legislative triumphs.

“The plan is clear,” Asejere added. “Securing the re-election of our performing Governor in 2026 is the foundation. In that victory lies the momentum that will guarantee victory for the Accord legislative ticket across Osun Central in 2027.”

The visit marks a key moment in the local political space, bringing these key political groups together into a unified campaign network geared toward the 2026 and 2027 polls.
