Presidency Disowns Fake Appointment Claim by Self-Styled “Foreign Intervention Council”

The Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, has dismissed as false a reported appointment of one Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi under an alleged body known as the “Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council.”

In a statement issued on behalf of the Presidency, Gbajabiamila clarified that no such organisation exists under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and that no appointment has been made in that regard.

He warned members of the public and relevant institutions to disregard any claims associated with the purported council or its representative, stressing that it is not recognised by the Federal Government.

According to the statement, Foreign and Diplomatic Missions, Financial and Multilateral Institutions, Development Partners, and Security Agencies are advised to take note that no such office or appointment exists within the current administration.

The Chief of Staff further cautioned against attempts by individuals or groups to misrepresent themselves as federal appointees or to create unofficial bodies purportedly linked to the Presidency.

The statement reaffirmed the government’s commitment to transparency and urged the public to verify official appointments through recognised government communication channels.
