Mother Raises Alarm as Teacher Allegedly Stops Son from Eating During Break Over Slow Writing

A Nigerian mother has raised concerns after her son’s teacher allegedly prevented him from eating during break time because he was a slow writer.

The mother, in a viral video, said she had repeatedly noticed that her son returned home from school with the food she packed for him untouched.

Concerned about the situation, she reportedly approached the teacher to find out why her son was not eating during lunchtime.

According to her, the teacher explained that she deliberately stopped the boy from eating during break so he could use the time to copy the day’s notes because he was slow at writing.

The incident has sparked reactions on social media, with many expressing concern over the treatment of the child and calling for the school to investigate the matter and take appropriate action against the teacher if the allegation is established.

Several commentators have also stressed the importance of allowing pupils time to eat during school hours, regardless of their writing speed.
