AFWCN, NAFOWA Celebrate Children’s Day as Part of College’s 10th Anniversary Activities
The Air Force War College Nigeria (AFWCN), in collaboration with the Nigerian Air Force Officers’ Wives Association (NAFOWA) Makurdi Chapter, organised a colourful Children’s Day celebration as part of activities marking the College’s 10th anniversary.
The event, themed “Celebrating Childhood Through Fun, Learning and Togetherness,” brought together children, families and members of the Nigerian Air Force community for a day of activities at the Nigerian Air Force Base Makurdi Football Field.
The celebration featured a variety of activities including games, sporting competitions, educational engagements, entertainment and interactive sessions aimed at promoting learning, social interaction and unity among children.
Organisers said the initiative was designed not only to create memorable experiences for the children but also to encourage healthy relationships and foster a sense of community among families within the Nigerian Air Force environment.
The event also reflected the commitment of the Air Force War College Nigeria and the Nigerian Air Force Officers’ Wives Association to promoting family values, strengthening community bonds and supporting the welfare and development of children.
Officials noted that investing in children and creating environments that encourage learning and positive engagement remains essential in shaping responsible future leaders and contributing to national development.
The Children’s Day celebration formed part of a series of activities commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Air Force War College Nigeria.
