Ahmed Expresses Confidence in National Troupe’s Continued Success Under New Leadership

In a farewell message, Ahmed Mohammed Ahmed, the outgoing artistic Director and CEO of the National Troupe of Nigeria, has expressed gratitude and bid farewell to the esteemed stakeholders and collaborators who contributed to the institution’s artistic journey during his tenure from April 27, 2021, to January 12, 2024.

Ahmed extended his deepest appreciation to former President Mohammadu Buhari, GCFR, acknowledging the visionary leadership that provided him the privilege to serve in the esteemed position.
He highlighted the impact of the President’s guidance on the cultural industry and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the nation’s artistic heritage.

Addressing the board, staff, and all stakeholders of the National Troupe, Ahmed conveyed his heartfelt gratitude for their dedication and passion for the arts, emphasising that the National Troupe is more than an institution; “it is a family of creative minds.”

As he steps aside, Ahmed expressed confidence in the capabilities of the incoming Chief Executive, Hajiya Khaltume Bulama Gana, anticipating that her leadership will bring fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to further elevate the National Troupe. He extended sincere congratulations to Khaltume Bulama Gana and pledged his support during the transition.

Ahmed’s farewell message reaffirmed the shared commitment to promoting Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage. “I believe that under the guidance of Barrister Hanatu Musa Musawa, the Honourable Minister of Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy, and the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, the National Troupe will continue to thrive and inspire generations.”

In concluding his message, Ahmed conveyed warm regards to all stakeholders and expressed his gratitude for the privilege of serving as the Artistic Director and CEO. He carried with him cherished memories and confidence in the capable hands that will guide the National Troupe of Nigeria into the future.

The news of Ahmed Mohammed Ahmed’s departure will mark the end of an era, but the continuation of the National Troupe’s legacy under new leadership is anticipated with optimism.
