APC Disqualifies Three Plateau Senatorial Aspirants Ahead of Primaries

By Akudiang Comfort Pius

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has disqualified three senatorial aspirants from Plateau State ahead of the party’s primary elections.

The affected aspirants are Gyang Zi, SAN, from Plateau North, Napoleon Bali from Plateau South, and Usman Ephraim Gar from Plateau Central.

Their names appeared on an official APC document titled “List of Senatorial Aspirants Not Cleared,” obtained by our correspondent on Sunday.

The development affects all three senatorial districts in Plateau State and is expected to influence the political contest ahead of the primaries.

Although the APC national secretariat has not officially stated the reasons for the disqualification, party sources said issues such as documentation discrepancies, tax compliance, and party-related matters are usually considered during the screening process.

The affected aspirants are expected to approach the APC Screening Appeal Committee to challenge the decision before the conduct of the primaries.

The development has already generated reactions among party members and political observers in Jos and Abuja.

More details later.
