As the holy month of Ramadan comes to a close, Muslims worldwide celebrate Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of a period of fasting and reflection. Before the festivities commence, it is important to heed a fundamental lesson imparted by Ramadan: the necessity for reorientation.

Chairman/CEO of NAHCON, Jalal Ahmad Arabi OON fwc, underscores the significance of Ramadan as a time for self-reflection and positive change. He emphasises, “Ramadan is a month of reorientation, a period that refocuses the Muslim towards discipline, modesty, and self-restraint.”

Arabi highlights the profound impact of Ramadan on individual behaviour and societal harmony, stating, “Ramadan teaches consideration for the less privileged, empathy for those in dire situations and the importance of sharing prosperity with fellow humans.”

Drawing attention to the importance of consideration for others, Arabi notes, “Inconsideration for others can lead to misunderstandings, conflicts, and even cause harm to us, meanwhile, being considerate would not reduce one’s prosperity.”

Arabi urges Nigerians to embark on a journey of self-awareness and positive change, emphasising, “The journey of reorientation starts with self-awareness – taking the time to reflect on our beliefs, values, and goals.”

In conclusion, Arabi extends Eid greetings and calls for unity, peace, and renewal. He encourages all to embrace harmony, discipline, and compassion, hoping for a brighter future. “May this Eid mark the beginning of a journey towards unity, peace, and renewal,” Arabi concludes, wishing all a joyous Eid celebration.
