BREAKING: Nigerian Army appoint new Spokesperson, Theatre Commander
Nigerian Army has appointed Brig-General Oyema Nwachukwu as Director of Army Public Relations.
A source close to Nigerian Army disclosed this to OurNigeria News Magazine in Abuja on Thursday said that Brig-General Nwachukwu takes over from Brigadier General Mohammed Yerima, who was appointed in February by the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt-General Ibrahim Attahiru.
Until his appointment, Mr Nwachukwu was the acting Director of Defence information at the Defence Headquarters.
He was the Deputy Director of the Operation Lafiya Dole Theatre Command in Maiduguri.
He attended the University of Ibadan and holds a Masters’ Degree in International Affairs and Strategic Studies from the Nigerian Defence Academy, NDA, Post Graduate School, Kaduna.
He once served as the media coordinator of the Joint Task Force Operation Pulo Shield.
Also, the Document stated that Major General CG Musa has been appointed as the new Theatre Commander of Operation Hadin Kai in the Northeast Region which he takes over from the current Chief of Army Staff Major General Faruk Yahaya
