In a bold move to spur economic development in Nasarawa State, the Dangote Group has thrown its weight behind the 2025 Nasarawa Trade Fair Exhibition, which kicks off this Wednesday in the state capital, Lafia.

The Trade Fair, themed “Investing in Nasarawa’s Future: Fostering Economic Development Through Mineral and Agricultural Cottage Industrialization,” is a collaborative initiative by the Nigeria Association of Small-Scale Industrialists (NASSI), Nasarawa Chapter, and the Nasarawa State Chamber of Commerce, Agriculture, and Industries.

According to NASSI Chairman Nidan Sambo Manasseh, the event will be formally opened by Governor Abdullahi Sule, whose administration has prioritized industrialization and private sector investment.

“The Nasarawa Trade Fair Exhibition (NASTFE) is a vital catalyst for the state’s economic transformation. It aligns perfectly with Governor Sule’s vision of unlocking Nasarawa’s economic potential,” Manasseh said.

The Dangote Group, the headline sponsor of this year’s exhibition, sees the event as a key opportunity to strengthen its investment presence in the state.

In a statement by its Chief Branding and Communication Officer, Anthony Chiejina, the company reaffirmed its commitment to Nasarawa, describing it as a “central pillar” of its national investment strategy.

“Nasarawa State is home to the Dangote Nasarawa Sugar Company Limited (NSCL), which upon completion, will rank among the largest sugar projects in Africa,” Chiejina stated.

She revealed that a special Help Desk will be stationed at the Dangote pavilion to attend to inquiries, adding that the Trade Fair provides an ideal platform for stakeholder engagement and business networking.

“We are excited to interact directly with attendees and encourage everyone to explore our innovative products and solutions,” Abdurrahman said.

The 2025 NASTFE is expected to attract a wide range of businesses, investors, and entrepreneurs, marking a significant step toward positioning Nasarawa State as a hub for industrial and agricultural innovation.
