Over 500 holidaymakers who arrived at the Osun from Lagos, Ogun and Oyo States have returned to their varying bases after a successful celebration of the 2025 Easter celebration.
They also applauded the Governor of the State, Sen. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke for sustaining the Imole Free Train Initiative, which has brought succour to them in terms of skyrocketing cost of transportation.
Meanwhile the Honourable Commissioner for Commerce and Industry in Osun State, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, accompanied by the management of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, told them to share the good news about the giant strides of the Governor, whenever they get to their destination.
Recall that over five hundred (500) holidaymakers, who are indigenes and lovers of Osun State, from Lagos, Ogun and Oyo States, had arrived at the Nelson Mandela Freedom Park, Osogbo on Friday evening, via the Free Imole Free Train initiative, anchored by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Rev. Jenyo also admonished the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) to give peace a chance. He charged them to wake up to the reality of life and acknowledge the astounding performance of Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, across all sectors of the economy.
According to the Commissioner, “I want to seize this opportunity to appeal to the opposition for them to stop their unnecessary propaganda, because when you see that a government is doing well, appreciate the government,”.
“Most of the passengers sent me to help them tell Governor Ademola Adeleke that they appreciate him for this gesture and they want it to continue, and they are praying for him—that his tenure will be successful and his second term is guaranteed. This is a message from them”.
“I also want to implore the APC in Osun to stop peddling falsehood and propaganda, all in the name of playing opposition roles. You could recall that this time 2021, we were already preparing to take on APC at the ballot, but today, APC is waiting for the magic from the Federal Government, this won’t work. Osun people are enjoying the good governance under the Asiwaju, Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke and this shall continue,” he said.
The train as scheduled, took off, back to Lagos at exactly 12:00pm, from the Nelson Mandela Freedom Park, Osogbo Osun State.
