The Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing evidence-based economic reforms through continued collaboration with key private sector stakeholders driving Nigeria’s economic transformation.
As part of this effort, the NESG on June 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Nigeria LNG Limited, Mr. Adeleye Falade, in a move aimed at strengthening longstanding engagement on policy advocacy and private sector-led growth.
The delegation, led by Dr. Olusegun Omisakin, Chief Economist and Director of Research and Development at the NESG, congratulated Falade on his appointment and acknowledged NLNG’s sustained contribution to national economic dialogue, particularly through its support for policy reforms and participation in the Nigerian Economic Summit.
NLNG, one of Nigeria’s leading energy sector institutions, was described as playing a strategic role in supporting energy security, export earnings, industrial development, and broader economic competitiveness.
Discussions during the visit focused on the need to address structural constraints affecting the business environment, including regulatory complexity and multiple taxation. Both parties emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration between the public and private sectors in driving reforms that enhance investment, productivity, and economic resilience.
The engagement also highlighted opportunities for deeper cooperation between NESG and NLNG in promoting evidence-based policy recommendations and strengthening constructive dialogue aimed at building a more competitive and sustainable economy.
Representatives from both organisations attended the meeting, including Mr. Hassan Saleh from NLNG and NESG officials such as Mr. Charles Nwanze, Mrs. Ronke Adesina, Mr. Abiodun Shittu, Mr. Chidozie Akanno, and Ms. Hanniel Tams.
