The NNPC Ltd./Renaissance/TotalEnergies/AENR Joint Venture, operated by Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited, has launched the B-Dere Vision First Plus (Vision First + Health-In-Motion) Programme in B-Dere, located in Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The four-day medical outreach, held from May 5 to May 8, 2026, took place at the Model Primary Health Care Centre in the community and was organised in partnership with the Rivers State Ministry of Health and the Kolmarg Eyesight Foundation.
Hundreds of residents reportedly benefited from the free healthcare services provided during the programme.
Medical services offered included eye screening, consultations and surgeries, provision of reading glasses, dental care, cancer screening, laboratory testing, treatment of chronic and minor illnesses, health education, and distribution of insecticide-treated mosquito nets.
During the flag-off ceremony, the Head of Business Services at NUIMS, NNPC Ltd., Nkechi Anaedobe, joined the Director of Medical Services at the Rivers State Ministry of Health, Vincent Nwachukwu, to present wellness packs to members of the community.
Organisers said the initiative reflects NNPC Ltd.’s commitment to expanding access to quality healthcare in host communities and strengthening partnerships with government institutions and non-profit organisations.
