The member representing Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Chief Hon. Pst. Ojotu Ojema, has sponsored a two-day free medical outreach aimed at providing healthcare services to residents of Apa and Agatu Local Government Areas of Benue State.
The medical outreach, organised in collaboration with the David Umahi Teaching Hospital, Uburu, Ebonyi State, ELDOV Consults and FACDON Multi Services Nigeria Limited, is scheduled to hold on November 2 and 3, 2026.
According to a statement issued on Saturday by Olikita Ekani, Media Aide to the federal lawmaker, the exercise is designed to improve access to healthcare services and provide medical assistance to residents of selected communities across the constituency.
The outreach will commence on Monday, November 2, at the General Hospital, Ugbokpo, in Apa Local Government Area, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The second phase will take place on Tuesday, November 3, at the General Hospital, Obagaji, in Agatu Local Government Area, also between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Ojema, who chairs the House Committee on National Inland Waterways, is sponsoring the initiative as part of efforts to bring essential healthcare services closer to his constituents.
Residents of both local government areas have been encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity by visiting the designated medical centres during the scheduled dates.
The initiative is expected to provide relief to residents, particularly those who face challenges accessing affordable healthcare, while complementing existing efforts to improve healthcare delivery at the grassroots.
