President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as part of his working vacation in Paris, has held extensive discussions with Vincent Bolloré of the Bolloré Group on plans to deepen the company’s investments and operations in Nigeria.
The Group, whose media and digital interests include Canal+, MultiChoice and Universal Music Group, confirmed plans to expand the localisation of its operations in Nigeria across film, entertainment, fibre-optic infrastructure and related sectors.
During the meeting, Bolloré and his executives outlined a series of proposed investments centred on Nigeria, citing the country’s growing global cultural influence through Nollywood and Afrobeats and increasing international demand for Nigerian creative content.
President Tinubu welcomed the Group’s decision to deepen its presence in Nigeria, stressing that the country’s expanding cultural influence presents an opportunity to attract more production, investment and jobs.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to economic growth, job creation for young Nigerians and digitalisation, while pledging continued support for investments that develop local talent, strengthen digital and physical infrastructure and expand Nigeria’s creative economy.
The President said the Renewed Hope Agenda is focused on building an economy where Nigeria’s talent, enterprise and global cultural reach translate into greater opportunities and improved livelihoods for Nigerians.
The meeting was disclosed in a statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, on September 18, 2026.
