Tunji-Ojo Inspects Integrated Operations Centre at NIS Headquarters

The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has inspected the ongoing Integrated Operations Centre at the headquarters of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), as part of efforts to strengthen border security and migration management in the country.

During the inspection, the Minister assessed progress on the facility, which is designed to serve as a central hub for cybersecurity and network operations. The centre is structured as an AI-driven, multilayered system aimed at enhancing surveillance, data integration and real-time response capabilities.

Tunji-Ojo noted that the Integrated Operations Centre represents a major step in ongoing reforms within the immigration system. He explained that the facility will improve border control processes, modernize migration management and strengthen expatriate administration.

According to the Minister, the initiative aligns with the Federal Government’s broader agenda to leverage technology in securing Nigeria’s borders while ensuring efficient and transparent service delivery.

He reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to deploying innovation and digital solutions to safeguard national security and enhance operational efficiency across agencies under its supervision.
