U.S. Lawmaker Says Washington Will Closely Monitor Nigeria’s 2027 General Elections

A member of the United States House of Representatives, Riley Moore, has said the administration of Donald Trump will closely monitor the conduct of Nigeria’s 2027 general elections.

Speaking in an interview with NoireTV, Moore said the United States would pay close attention to the credibility of the electoral process and how the elections are conducted.

The U.S. lawmaker also disclosed that the United States House of Representatives is considering an appropriations bill containing provisions that could affect Nigeria, particularly in areas relating to religious freedom and U.S. security assistance.
