Theatre Commander General Chibuisi Bags Collin Powell Meritorious Award for Soldering

Theatre Commander, Joint Task Force Northeast Operation Hadin Kai, Major General Gold Chibuisi, is set to receive the highly prestigious Collin Powell Meritorious Award for Soldering CPMAS during the grand celebration of the 10th Edition of OurNigeria News Magazine Awards, taking place Sunday, in Abuja.

Major General Gold Chibuisi is a seasoned Army General hailing from the Nigerian Army Infantry Corps. He assumed duty on July 13, 2023, as the 13th Theatre Commander of Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI. With an illustrious career, Major General Chibuisi has made significant contributions to the Nigerian military.
Having completed the prestigious 40th Regular Course at the Nigerian Defence Academy in Kaduna, Major General Chibuisi demonstrates a strong educational foundation. Throughout his career, he has pursued continuous professional development, attending numerous courses that have enhanced his skills and knowledge.

Major General Chibuisi’s commitment and dedication to his duties have been recognized through several honours and awards. These include the Distinguished Service Star, passed staff Course (Dagger), Fellow of the National Defence University in China, and the Field Command Medal of Honour.

Major General Chibuisi has served as a Directing Staff at the esteemed Armed Forces Command and Staff College Jaji in Nigeria. He has also held positions such as Commander of 1 Division Garrison in Kaduna, Commander of 19 Brigade in Baga (North East), and General Officer Commanding of 2 Division Nigerian Army in Ibadan, South West Nigeria. Notably, he served as the Force Commander of the Multinational Joint Task Force in N’Djamena, Chad, where he made significant contributions to multinational counter-insurgency efforts in the Lake Chad Basin.
