Osun Lecturer Sets Sights on Breaking Guinness World Record with 150-Hour Lecture Marathon

Dr. Nsikak Akpan, a lecturer at Foreign Links College of Health Technology in Moro, Osun State, has unveiled plans to embark on a 150-hour marathon lecture in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest lecturing session.
Speaking to journalists on the college campus, Akpan revealed that his application, referenced as 240427100506lml, has been approved by Guinness World Records, allowing him to take on the challenge.
“The quest, which is set to begin on Monday, September 23, is expected to end on September 30, inside the Foreign Links College campus in Moro, Osun State,” Akpan announced.
The current record, held by Indian Professor Arvin Mishra, stands at 139 hours, 52 minutes, and 42 seconds, set in 2014.
Akpan is aiming to surpass this by delivering a lecture themed “Relationships between Man’s Environment and Health.”
“I am attempting to set a new Guinness record for the longest lecture marathon 10 years after it was achieved in India.
“The quest is aimed at giving back to the academic environment as I attempt to tell the world the consequences of abusing the environment by man,” he said.
Students of the college will be in attendance throughout the lecture, which promises to highlight the crucial links between environmental preservation and human health.
