Kogi is most peaceful state in Nigeria now – Amb. Bolori

Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Public Relations, Amb. Ahmed Bolori, has described Kogi as the most peaceful and secured state in Nigeria.

Bolori, stated in an interview with Our Nigeria News Magazine on Wednesday, said the security situation in the state has improved since Governor Yahaya Bello assumed office in 2016.

According to him, when the governor assumed office in 2016, he met a lot of challenges and security was at the top of such challenges.

In his words, “In 2016 when His Excellency took over as the governor of Kogi State, he met huge challenges among which the biggest of all is the security because the number one responsibility of the government is to protect lives and properties of the people.

“It is a known fact that Kogi was put on a red flag that many countries in Europe and other places that have things to do with Nigeria have cautioned their citizens not to go to that area just as it was done for other places. So it was among the worst and as a matter of fact, even Boko Haram because they have seen how bad and terrible the place could be or it was then, they even established a bomb manufacturing company in Kogi.”

Bolori said the case is no longer the same because security has been the priority of the governor since he assumed office.

He added that his principal has performed so well in the area of security and that his effort has been recognized and awarded by the Nigeria Police Force and the National Institute for Security Studies.

“As I speak to you now, a recent report that came out from a reliable organization has put Kogi as the second most peaceful in Nigeria. In fact, we are beating chest to say we are the number one most peaceful but whatever it is, you know they have a lot of indicators but I’m sure by next year we will take our proper place,” said Bolori.
