In a congratulatory message, Professor Ademola said the appointment of Ibrahim, a lawyer, scholar and entrepreneur, affirms his longstanding contributions across governance, diplomacy, academia and enterprise. According to him, the new role places Ibrahim in a strategic position to strengthen Nigeria’s voice in global affairs.

He expressed confidence that Ibrahim would represent the country with “honour, clarity and exemplary statesmanship” at the United Nations, noting that the appointment is both a national honour and a valuable diplomatic asset for Nigeria.

Professor Ademola also prayed for wisdom and strength for the new envoy as he assumes the international assignment.

In a separate message, the cleric congratulated former Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adejare Bello, on his appointment as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife.

He described Bello’s appointment as a recognition of his extensive legislative experience, diplomatic exposure and commitment to educational development.

Ademola noted that Bello’s years in public service, characterised by leadership and dedication to democratic governance, have prepared him for the responsibilities of guiding one of Africa’s most prestigious universities.

“As OAU enters a new phase of institutional strengthening and global competitiveness, I am confident that Rt. Hon. Bello will provide visionary and stabilising leadership to the university community,” he said.

The cleric also prayed that Bello would be granted wisdom and strength to successfully steer the affairs of the university’s governing council.
