Kauran Students Forum Dumps Bala, Endorses Suphi for 2027 Bauchi Governorship Race

The Kauran Students Support Forum has officially withdrawn its support for Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed ahead of the 2027 general elections and endorsed Hon. Usman Adamu Suphi as its preferred governorship candidate under the Peoples Democratic Party in Bauchi State.

The announcement was made during a world press conference held on Saturday at the Conference Hall of the Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Tomb.

Reading the communiqué, the forum’s Chairman, Abdulrahim Adamu Musa, said the group was established during the 2019 general elections and officially registered under the Bauchi State Cooperative Society on May 6, 2020.

According to him, the forum had remained loyal to the Bala Mohammed administration for years, operating structures across the 20 local government areas of the state with over 1,000 student members actively supporting the government.

However, he stated that after extensive consultations with youth stakeholders, student union leaders, and elder statesmen, the group resolved to withdraw its support for the governor and back Hon. Usman Adamu Suphi for the 2027 governorship contest.

The forum also announced the inauguration of a new political mobilisation platform known as the “Usman Suphi and Sani Adamu Grassroots Mobilisation Team” to canvass support for Suphi’s governorship ambition and Hon. Sani Adamu’s aspiration to represent Warji Constituency in the Bauchi State House of Assembly.

Musa described Suphi as a courageous and visionary leader with strong records in peace-building, youth empowerment, humanitarian services, and community development.

He urged residents of Bauchi State to support Suphi, expressing confidence in his ability to provide purposeful leadership and transform the state.
