Operation HADIN KAI Troops Sustain Offensive, Intensify Clearance Operations Against Terrorists
Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have sustained the momentum of ongoing counter-insurgency operations in the North-East, carrying out a successful clearance patrol against Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists under Operation Desert Sanity V.
Following the operation, the troops established a tactical ambush position along a suspected terrorist infiltration route to monitor movements and prevent insurgents from re-entering previously cleared areas.
Military sources said the operation was conducted successfully without any incident, with troops maintaining a high level of vigilance throughout the mission to deny terrorist elements freedom of movement.
According to the sources, the operation forms part of the military’s sustained offensive under Operation Desert Sanity V, aimed at degrading the operational capabilities of Boko Haram and ISWAP, preventing the reoccupation of liberated communities, and creating a secure environment for residents to safely resume their socio-economic activities.
The sources added that although the security situation in the operational area remains calm, it is being closely monitored due to the evolving nature of the threat.
They also noted that the morale and combat readiness of the troops remain high, underscoring their determination to sustain pressure on terrorist groups and support ongoing efforts to restore lasting peace, security and stability across the North-East.
