Alabama Man Set for Execution Over Rape, Murder of 5-Year-Old Girl

Jeremy Tremaine Williams is scheduled to be executed by lethal injection on August 13, 2026, after being convicted of the capital murder of five-year-old Kamarie Holland in Alabama.

According to court records, the case began in December 2021 after Kamarie’s mother, Kristy Siple, agreed to allow Williams to sexually abuse her daughter in exchange for money. The reported amount was $1,300.

Williams reportedly took the child to an abandoned property in Phenix City, Alabama, where prosecutors said he sexually assaulted and killed her. Court records also documented allegations that the abuse was recorded and that the child was forced to take methamphetamine before Williams strangled her.

After Kamarie was reported missing, investigators identified Williams and arrested him. He was subsequently convicted of capital murder and sentenced to death.

Kamarie’s mother, Siple, later pleaded guilty to sex trafficking her own child and received a 20-year prison sentence.

The case has drawn widespread outrage because of the circumstances surrounding the child’s death and the role played by the person responsible for her care.

Kamarie was only five years old and never had the opportunity to grow up, attend school, build a career or experience adulthood.

With Williams’ execution scheduled for August 13, the case has also renewed debate over whether the sentence imposed on Kamarie’s mother adequately reflects the seriousness of her role in the crime.

At the centre of the case, however, remains the life of a five-year-old child whose death resulted in a tragedy that continues to raise difficult questions about child protection, exploitation and accountability.
