BREAKING: Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff Dies in Plane Crash

Information reaching this medium indicates that Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff, General Ibrahim Attahiru has died as a military plane crashes in Kaduna.

Details of the incident were still sketchy as of the time filing this report, however, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) confirmed in a statement, that there was an accident involving one of its aircraft in Kaduna but did not detail.

The NAF statement which was signed by Edward Gabkwet, the force’s Director of Public Relations and Information, disclosed that: “An air crash involving a @NigAirForce aircraft occurred this evening near the Kaduna International Airport.

“The immediate cause of the crash is still being ascertained. More details to follow soon”.

Also, a military source confirmed that the incident occurred on Friday in Kaduna and that there were eight persons on board the aircraft. It was also reported that they were no survivors from the crash.
