As Muslims in Nigeria join their counterparts across the world to celebrate the 2019 Eid-el-Fitr, which marks the end of the Ramadan fasting, the Managing Director Galaxy Backbone Ltd Prof Abubakar Bello has asked Nigerians to remain united despite the various challenges facing the nation.
Prof Bello made the call in his Sallah message on Thursday made available to Newsmen by his media and Protocol Mr Tasiu Muhammad Pantami on Thursday in Gombe
“on the occasion of the Eid al Fitr implored the citizenry to embrace one another and shun any form of discrimination amongst themselves.
His words: “I call on Nigerians to be their brother’s keeper at all times in providing the unity that can move the country forward and frustrate the nefarious activities of criminals among us”.
The Managing Director enjoined Muslims to use the blessings of the season and pray fervently for the progress of Nigerians and Nigeria.
He however urged Nigerians to celebrate the Sallah in conformity with COVID-19 safety protocols just as he lauded their courage in the fight against the pandemic.
He further commended Nigerians for their support and cooperation with President Muhammadu Buhari-led government in his steps to curtail the spread
He tasked the citizenry not to lose sight in face of the current security challenges bedevilling the country but to remain resolute and prayerful with faith that the nation’s trying moment will be over and Nigeria will emerge stronger and more united.
Prof Bello strongly condemned those calling for the balkanization of the country, describing such agitations as self-serving and orchestrated plan by some few Nigerians to cause unnecessary tension and division among the citizens who have lived in relative peace and harmony.
He emphasized that his administration will not condone any act that will undermine the corporate existence of the country but will remain focused on delivering the task binded on GBB to provide and maintain the network services for it customers and to secure the government data across ministries, MDA’s and other organisations.
Prof Bello also assured state government, schools private org in giving them maximum cooperation when partnering with galaxy backbone.
He enjoined Muslim Ummah to sustain the devotion and other acts of worship performed during the holy month as well as to imbibe the lessons learnt during Tafsir sessions for the good of the religion, society and humanity, saying Nigeria is in dire need of good people with excellent moral standings to overcome the evils being perpetrated by some few who do not mean well for the country.
