First Lady Remi Tinubu Commissions Projects in Borno, Reaffirms Federal Support

The First Lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu, on Monday paid an official visit to Maiduguri, where she commissioned a series of infrastructural projects executed by the Borno State Government.

The First Lady arrived at the NAF Wing, Air Component 105, Operation HADIN KAI, where she was received by the Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, alongside top government officials, security chiefs, and other dignitaries.

Also present at the reception were the State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ahmed Bello Gaya, other service commanders, political leaders, and well-wishers who gathered to welcome the First Lady.

The visit featured a colourful reception, with musical performances and displays by cultural troupes, creating a lively atmosphere that reflected the resilience and hospitality of the people of Borno State.

During the engagement, the First Lady commissioned multiple infrastructure projects across the state, aimed at improving living conditions and supporting ongoing recovery and development efforts in the region.

The event underscored the collaboration between the Federal Government and the Borno State Government in rebuilding communities affected by years of insurgency, while advancing socio-economic development.
