Governor Inuwa Yahaya Urges Thorough Investigation,  Justice Following Tudun Biri Tragedy

In the aftermath of the accidental but tragic bombing incident in Tudun Biri Community, Kaduna State, the Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum and Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has expressed profound grief and extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the Maulud celebrants affected.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya, recognising the gravity of the situation, conveyed his condolences to the government and people of Kaduna State during this deeply distressing time. He described the loss of innocent lives as a heartbreaking tragedy that necessitates immediate attention.

While acknowledging the significance of the ongoing fight against banditry and terrorism, Governor Inuwa Yahaya stressed the vital need for such operations to be executed with the utmost professionalism and care. He highlighted the importance of preventing heart-wrenching accidents like the one in Tudun Biri Community.

The Governor issued a strong call for a comprehensive and thorough investigation into the unfortunate incident. He emphasized, “It is imperative for the authorities to take prompt and necessary measures to not only address the immediate concerns of the victims and the affected community but also to prevent any future occurrences.”

In these challenging times, Governor Inuwa Yahaya assured the affected families, the Tudun Biri community, and the people of Kaduna State of the Northern Governors’ unwavering support and commitment to ensuring justice, healing, and security in the region.

“Our Forum will remain steadfast in our dedication to fostering security and well-being in the region, and in will work together, and with relevant authorities to bring about justice for the victims and their families,” he reiterated.

Ismaila Uba Misilli, the Director-General of Press Affairs at the Government House in Gombe, reiterated the Chairman’s call for a meticulous investigation and underscored the importance of swift and effective measures to address both immediate and long-term concerns arising from the tragedy.
