NDLEA Arrests ‘KC Luxury’ Over Alleged ₦39bn Cocaine Trafficking Syndicate

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a self-styled luxury goods dealer and social media influencer, Afolabi Kazeem Michael, popularly known online as “KC Luxury,” over his alleged involvement in a multibillion-naira cocaine trafficking syndicate.

The NDLEA Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd.), disclosed this on Tuesday, saying the suspect was arrested on the night of August 13, 2026, at the boarding gate of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos.

According to Marwa, KC Luxury was allegedly attempting to board a business-class flight to Paris when NDLEA operatives apprehended him. At the time of his arrest, he was reportedly found in possession of €7,750, £2,800 and ₦100,000, as well as expensive jewellery.

A subsequent search of his luxury apartment on Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos, reportedly led to the recovery of additional exhibits, including exotic vehicles.

The NDLEA said its investigation resulted in the recovery of 184.50 kilogrammes of cocaine, with an estimated street value of approximately ₦39 billion, alongside foreign currencies, luxury jewellery and exotic cars.

Marwa described the suspect as an alleged key figure in the drug trafficking network under investigation, stressing that the Agency would continue to pursue individuals and networks involved in the illicit drug trade.

Luxury Lifestyle Draws Public Attention

Following the arrest, photos and videos previously shared by KC Luxury on social media, showing him displaying an extravagant lifestyle, including luxury vehicles and designer handbags such as Birkin bags, have resurfaced and attracted widespread attention online.

The NDLEA said the arrest forms part of its continued efforts to dismantle major drug trafficking networks, disrupt their financial operations and prevent illicit substances from entering or passing through Nigeria.

The Agency reiterated its warning that individuals involved in the trafficking, financing and distribution of illicit drugs would face investigation and prosecution in accordance with the law.
