Niger First Lady Blesses Vehicles Donated to 25 Local Government Vice Chairpersons

The Wife of the Governor of Niger State, Her Excellency Hajiya Fatima Mohammed Bago, has offered prayers and blessed official vehicles donated by the Niger State Governor, Farmer Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago, to the Vice Chairpersons of the state’s 25 Local Government Areas.

The ceremony took place shortly after the inauguration of the Tinubu-Bago Touchbearers at Gudel Hotel, Minna, where the First Lady also flagged off the registration of members of the initiative.

Hajiya Fatima Mohammed Bago commended Governor Bago for his commitment to strengthening grassroots governance through practical support aimed at improving service delivery across the local government areas.

She described the donation as a reflection of the Governor’s confidence in the ability of the Vice Chairpersons to effectively support their respective Local Government Chairmen in advancing development programmes and responding to the needs of communities.

The First Lady urged the beneficiaries to use the vehicles responsibly, stressing that they are official tools provided to enhance their duties and enable closer engagement with the people at the grassroots.

She further encouraged the Vice Chairpersons to remain dedicated to initiatives that improve the welfare of women, children, youths and vulnerable groups while contributing to the success of the New Niger Agenda of the present administration.

During the blessing ceremony, Hajiya Fatima Mohammed Bago prayed for divine protection, wisdom, good health and success for the Vice Chairpersons as they discharge their responsibilities to the people of Niger State.

She also prayed for the continued success of Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago’s administration, as well as lasting peace, unity and prosperity across the state.
