Brigadier General Emmanuel Egbe, Commander of the 33 Artillery Brigade, Nigerian Army, has emphasised the importance of unity among security agencies in Bauchi State.
Speaking during a combined road work exercise involving the Army, Air Force, Police, DSS, and other security agencies on Friday in Bauchi, Egbe stressed that unity is crucial in the fight against criminality.
According to Egbe, the combined road work exercise aims to foster unity and cooperation among security agencies in the state.
He noted that unity is essential in defeating criminals, as it prevents them from exploiting divisions among security agencies.
Egbe also highlighted the importance of collaboration and synergy among security agencies.
He pointed out that no single agency can effectively combat the security challenges facing the country, including terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, and other crimes.
“By working together, these agencies can more effectively combat criminality and ensure a safer, more peaceful environment for the citizens of Bauchi State,” he said.
Commandant Oloyede Nelson Oyerinde of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) echoed Egbe’s sentiments,
He pledged the support of his agency to the Nigerian Army in the fight against criminality.
Oyerinde also warned security personnel against serving as informants to criminals, stressing that such actions are more dangerous than the crimes themselves.
