He has been appointed Chief Officer, Global Procurement and Strategic Operations, a role that places him at the center of the company’s global sourcing strategy and operational efficiency drive. In this capacity, Khalifa will oversee international procurement activities, optimize costs, reinforce supply chain systems, and support sustainable growth initiatives across the company.

The appointment comes at a time of strong financial performance for BUA Foods, which recorded a significant surge in profits in 2025. The company posted earnings of N507.7 billion, nearly double its previous figures, buoyed by robust sales in its core segments—sugar, pasta, and rice—as well as disciplined cost management strategies.

BUA Foods, currently valued at approximately $10.6 billion, remains one of Nigeria’s most valuable listed companies.

Khalifa brings years of cross-sector experience within the BUA Group, spanning food production, cement manufacturing, and animal feed operations. He has previously led major transformation initiatives and digital platform rollouts aimed at improving efficiency and strengthening operational systems across the conglomerate.

Industry observers say his new role is expected to further enhance governance structures, boost leadership capacity, and reinforce supply chain resilience as BUA Foods continues to pursue operational excellence and long-term growth.
