Former Real Madrid star Gareth Bale has opened up about his experience playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, highlighting the Portuguese forward’s relentless desire to score and his enduring rivalry with Lionel Messi.

Bale described Ronaldo as a player driven by an insatiable hunger for goals, noting, “I’ve had a few arm flails when I’ve missed [my shot] when I maybe could have passed to him. You always have to take it that way because that is his drive, his motivation. He just wants to score—not just one, but three, four, five, six in a game if he can.”

The former Welsh international added that Ronaldo’s pursuit of records and his determination to outscore Messi was a force every teammate had to understand and respect. “You get it and also, you can’t argue because he’s scoring the goals. Even when he came back to Man United, people were like, ‘oh, he’s not the same.’ But he was still scoring goals, which is the hardest thing to do in football. It was always a big confidence booster having him in the team.”
