PDP Convention Will Hold as Scheduled, Wike Assures Nigerians
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has assured Nigerians that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will proceed with its National Convention as scheduled on March 29 and 30.

Wike gave the assurance amid ongoing internal disagreements within the party, stating that preparations for the convention were on course and would not be disrupted.
He noted that while reconciliation efforts with aggrieved members remain important, such processes would continue after the convention has been concluded.
According to him, the party is committed to maintaining unity and strengthening its internal structure, adding that the convention would provide an opportunity to reposition the PDP ahead of future political engagements.
The FCT minister expressed confidence that party stakeholders would come together in the interest of progress, urging members to remain focused and supportive as the party moves forward.
